Hello

Shay McWeeney is an actor from San Francisco, California, living in Astoria, New York. She graduated from Point Park University with a BFA in Acting and an Applied Music Minor where her favorite roles included Imogen in Much Ado About Nothing and Mary Bailey in It’s A Wonderful Life. Before undergrad, she also studied at The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, California in the Summer Training Congress, San Francisco Semester Program, Young Conservatory, and Studio. Her recent NYC debut was in Witches Brew at The Producers Club. Beyond acting, Shay is the Social Media Manager for Making Our Space and is thrilled to be a part of the team that is re-imagining actor showcases. She enjoys taking classes at The Freeman Studio, singing and playing guitar, and collaborating with fellow artists. Shay believes that storytelling's power lies in its ability to immerse audiences in emotions, relationships, and contexts outside their daily experiences, fostering empathy and potentially driving change. She also loves chocolate, sleeping, and cute farm animal videos.

"I first met Shay as an acting student in my class at Point Park University. From the very first session, it was clear that she was not only a gifted artist, but also possessed a seriousness of purpose and a work ethic uncommon among students her age. Her appetite for the work and willingness to challenge herself was striking. During the course of our time together over the past two years, she has exhibited an unusually perceptive insight and a very mature growth. Along with these assets, her sense of humor, clear spirit and positive energy are qualities that will prove invaluable in her career."
